The Ruth Taylor Fine Arts Center at Trinity University is composed of three buildings: the Smith music building, which houses classrooms, practice studios, and the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall; the Dicke art building, which features spacious art studios flooded with natural light, digital photo labs, and an art gallery; and the Ruth Taylor Theater building, which features the 500-seat Stieren Theater, one of the most advanced theatrical facilities at an undergraduate college.

Julliard

Founded in 1905, The Juilliard School is a world leader in performing arts education. The school trains about 850 undergraduate and graduate students in dance, drama, and music. It is widely regarded as one of the best drama, music, and dance schools in the world. To say that AVLX was honored to have Juilliard as a client would be a vast understatement. 

We were challenged with upgrading all audio and video broadcast elements at the school campus as well as the infrastructure. One can imagine the number of rehearsals, performances, and special events that occur at The Juilliard School. Our tasking was simple but not easy. We needed to provide infrastructure and hardware to support Juilliard’s ability to record, stream, mix, edit, archive, etc from anywhere on campus…at any time. AVLX was able to complete the project on budget and ahead of schedule. It was a highly coordinated effort and in conjunction with not only Juilliard’s very capable staff but with our manufacturing partners as well. Ross Video, Yamaha, Sony Broadcast, AJA, and Luminex were some of the key manufacturers contributing to the success of this project. 

We’re incredibly thankful to continue our relationship with The Juilliard School today. We are consulting on a number of planned upgrades and regularly provide support via the AVLX store.
